Vacancy : Project Management Assistant
Section/Department : Freshstop - FVC Holdings
This position will be based at our Head Office in Thornton. This position will report directly to the Projects Manager.
Summary of Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for assisting the Freshstop group's Project Manager in managing building & re-build projects pertaining to Freshstop Store Openings.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills Needed
• Project Management or related degree or diploma• PC Literate
• Working Experience as a Site Manager/Projects Assistant will be advantageous

Required Job Skills
• Good understanding of the requirements for project management, including obtaining quotes for building materials, equipment, etc.

• Understanding and experience of builders/building requirements/building plans, etc.
• Good theoretical, conceptual and practical understanding of project management and development of facilitation processes
• Have proven problem solving skills

Vacancy : Food Technologist
Section/Department : Fruit & Veg City Holdings
This position will be based at our Head Office in Thornton and will report directly to the Group Operations Manager.
Summary of Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for aligning the company foods recipes and labels in accordance with the requirements of the Consumer Protection Act's newest labeling stipulations and requirements They will be also be responsible for ensuring that ALL corporate stores and Franchisees apply our group's Food policies on labeling, food safety principles, Food Preparation Guidelines and Recipes. They will liaise with Hot Foods Specialists and the IT Department to ensure that food content labels are updated and according to policy for printing at inter-departmental scales and store PC's for display in hot foods departments, bakeries and other food preparation departments
Minimum Qualifications/Skills Needed
- Grade 12
- Food Technology/Consumer Science B Degree will be a minimum qualification for this position
- At least 3 - 5 Years working Foods experience in a FMCG food preparation environment
- PC Literate - need to work on company system recipes

- Willing to travel frequently to visit stores/outlets often in remote/urban areas
- High Energy Levels & a Passion for Retail/Food
- Must have extensive food preparation, catering and recipe development experience
- Proven experience in a HACCP approved environment. Experience in Food Safety & hygiene management in catering and food service
- Manage database of ingredient specification and hygiene audits
- Control quality assurance & shelf life testing with regards to product traceability
- A love of food and the ability to interpret legislation and formulate company policies in a food production environment
- Experience with new Consumer protection Act in a retail environment & compliance of new label legislation (R.146)
- Good understanding of regulations & acts with DOH & DAFF
- Understanding the principles of a franchised FMCG environment
- Good understanding of business management
- Strong performance management skills
- Practice problem solving techniques
- Require minimum supervision and are able to work independently and schedule own work pace and task completion schedules
- Have strong communication skills especially with customer liaisons
- Have strong planning and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
